A lot on things in our regular life are not made for traveling by air and are even considered dangerous goods. For safety reasons, the following materials and articles are prohibited from being shipped as cargo: • Any type of batteries • Explosives, ammunition, fireworks • Flammable, nonflammable deeply refrigerated and poisonous or irritating gases, such as aerosols, lighters and lighter refills, camping fuel • Disabling devices such as mace, pepper spray, etc. containing an irritant or incapacitating substance • Carbon dioxide cylinders for soda siphons, butane gas cylinders, aqualung cylinders, gas cylinders • Flammable solids, such as matches and items which are easily ignited, substances liable to spontaneous combustion, substances which on contact with water emit flammable gases • Flammable liquids, such as paints, thinners, solvents, nail polish • Oxidizing substances, such as bleaching powder and peroxides • Poisonous (toxic) and infectious substances (viruses and bacteria) • Radioactive materials • Corrosives materials: acids, metallic mercury, thermometers containing mercury, barometers, acids, • Alkaline and wet cell batteries • Magnetized materials and other miscellaneous dangerous goods
